Whose job is it anyway?

The group(s) you believe are best placed to push for change:

28% Southwark Council

14% A citizens action group
6% Private enterprise

I am uncertain, having appealed to a number of Council on a number of local issues and failing to get a satisfactory response. I also applied to the A-Team (local community project) and failed to even get a response. Pretty downhearted that anything will be achieved in the short term. Mildy encouraged by the existance of this blog.

Maybe the community council, but I think promoting the area to developers (good ones), the value for money of the sites nearby and the closeness to town (I walk to work at london bridge in 40 mins) together with new transprt links such as the tram (there was talk of moving it down to Wells way. Quick aside: I also found somewhere in my searching on the internet, that the councils ultimate plan was to close wells way to general traffic!). The CABE award wining Elmington estate, the proximity of Burgess and now that Aylesbury is being redeveloped. Southampton way could be a great investment
