Season's Greetings

Our good neighbour living on Southampton Way had a bit of fun with a real photo (enhanced slightly with a few fonts) and designed this card to send to the fine folks at Southwark Council who've broken their promises regarding the property at 184-188 Southampton Way. As you'll know, squatters took over this Council-owned property (which has been sitting an abandoned eyesore for years) and have since made it even worse than before. They were going to be out 'by the end of October' but now we're told 'maybe late January'. Plans to secure it, clear it and redevelop it are also promised but no doubt delayed.

**URGENT UPDATE** Please click through to read an extensive update on a number of projects in for planning - projects we've been pressing hard on. You can now also take a survey from this page - please let your views be known.

As always, email me to receive our updates, pass along questions/information. Have a lovely holiday season and next year holds promise for even more progress.

That's perfect! Thanks for all your work this year - it has been very much appreicated. I believe we are also in for some progress in 2007 and it's in no small part down to you. Finally - an action oriented group in SE5!!

I echo the above post: and absolutely love the photo. Three cheers to all my neighbours for working so hard to come so far.

Agree, really pleased other people have the same feelings about our local area. Keep pushing and maybe we will get somewhere.

I heard the consultation for the cross river tram is considering Wells Way and Southampton Way as an option. This could help to force some development, but is a long way off.
