Sadly, there is no plan for pulling them altogether, which would take little time and money and could see regeneration happen without huge investment (in fact the investment is already occurring).To read more about the plans in the works, click through here. Community Councillors have promised each of the individual items will be brought before them for a final decision, which will allow us to input in an open forum before any decision is reached. Also, the CC has promised to pursue getting an update on the seemingly stalled Elmington Estate regeneration project at an upcoming meeting. Man dies in street stabbingFeb 5 2007
A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been stabbed to death after an argument in the street.
The murder happened at 1pm on Saturday in Southampton Way, Peckham.
The victim man was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital in Denmark Hill where he died.
Police describe the suspect as as a black man, 5ft 10in tall, wearing a black woolly hat and a dark-coloured Nike tracksuit.
They are also appealing for another man seen near the suspect to come forward. He is described as black, shorter than the suspect, and possibly with a moustache.

Only last month there was a 'Police Notice' outside the Dry Cleaners asking for witnesses to a 'serious Assault' on a white male in his twenties....this area needs CCTV NOW!

A teenage boy was shot dead inside his home on Tuesday just two days after celebrating his birthday.
The boy, who turned 15 on Sunday, was gunned down in his bedroom in the early hours in Diamond Street, Peckham, south east London.
He was taken to nearby King's College Hospital, but died less than an hour later.
Two men forced their way into his home and shot him in his bedroom, before fleeing. His sister was in the house at the time. She immediately called an ambulance.
It follows a spate of murders in Peckham in the last few days.
On Saturday, a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death in the adjacent road to Diamond Street, Southampton Way.
Then in the early hours of Sunday morning, there was a shooting at a flat less than a mile away in Flamborough House, Clayton Road.
A man in his 40s was shot dead and another injured.
Another teenage boy was gunned down and killed in south London just a few days ago. James Andre Smartt-Ford, 16, died after he was was shot at least twice at an ice rink in Streatham on Saturday night.
A murder inquiry into the latest shooting has been launched by Scotland Yard's Operation Trident team, which investigates gun crime in the black community. Police said the boy's identity would not be released until his next of kin had been informed.

Police say a church-going teenager shot dead in his bed may not have been the intended target of two gunmen who forced their way into his home.
The 15-year-old was murdered in Diamond Street in Peckham, south-east London, just after midnight on Tuesday.
Police said they were sure the house was targeted, but they were investigating whether the victim was killed in a case of mistaken identity.
His death marked the third murder incident in Peckham since the weekend.
A man was fatally stabbed on Saturday and another was shot dead on Sunday.
In Tuesday's incident the 15-year-old boy's older sister was in the house at the time. She gave him first aid and he was able to speak a few words to her.
Church regular
But the boy, who celebrated his 15th birthday on Sunday, died less than an hour later in hospital.
Police hope to name him later after his next of kin have been informed.
He was a regular at the Celestial Church of Christ, in nearby Bird In Bush Road, and attended St Michael's Secondary School, in Bermondsey.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "At this stage we believe the house in Diamond Road was targeted specifically by the gunmen but we are investigating whether or not the victim was the intended target."
Officers from Scotland Yard's Operation Trident team, which investigates gun crime in London's Afro-Caribbean communities, have not found any link between the boy and local gangs.
Det Supt Gary Richardson, from Trident, said: "The boy was not known to police before this incident and we are not linking this to gangs or any other incidents which have occurred in the past few days.
Forensic scientists are examining the area
"This does not appear to have been a botched burglary. I believe these premises were specifically targeted."

The dilapidated flats might be gone, but the criminals who lurked have not - they just got younger.
Seven years after the death of 10-year-old Damilola Taylor in a stairwell in the North Peckham estate in south-east London, violence still plagues the area.
Replacing rows of rundown high-rise flats and maisonettes are 2,000 new homes, a new sports centre, a new leisure centre and award-winning library, thanks to a £290m regeneration investment.
Peckham, which has tried much to shake off its mean streets image in the last decade, has once again hit the headlines because of acts of violence.
Not too far from where Damilola bled to death, three people were killed and one seriously wounded in three separate attacks within three days.
They included 15-year-old Michael Dosunmu, who was shot dead by gunmen as he slept in his bedroom in Diamond Street on Monday.
He was not the only young victim of seemingly brazen acts of violence. On Saturday, a few miles away, James Smarrt-Ford, 16, was shot dead in front of 300 people at Streatham ice rink.
Young guns
According to Lucy Cope, a resident of Peckham and head of the campaign group Mothers Against Guns, the gunmen never went away and they are getting younger.
In September, two schools were closed amid fears of gang violence following a spate of nightclub shootings which left one man dead and two injured.
In 2003, there were 31 youths aged under 20 charged with a gun-related murder. In 2006, interim figures showed that number had risen to 76, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Mrs Cope is calling for harsher sentences for gun possession
"The whole feeling in the area is one of fear," she told the BBC News website.
"Children are scared to go to school, parents are scared to let them go out or leave them home alone. You're not even secure in your own home now.
"This is what happens in the Bronx. Peckham has become an English Bronx."
Mrs Cope is consoling the family of James Smarrt-Ford, who she says are in a "complete state of shock".
"They are inconsolable," she said. "No-one can help them at this point in time."
James's mother left a tribute to her son on the memorial website Gone Too Soon.
"My son the joy and happiness you brought to our family will never, never die. You will live on in our memory of what a beautiful young man you were."
'Regeneration working'
There were 266 gun crimes and five homicides in Southwark, which includes Peckham, in the 12 months up to December 2006, according to the Met Police.
In neighbouring Lambeth, there were 239 gun crimes and 15 killings over the same period while Lewisham recorded 185 firearm incidents and five killings.
The age of the gunman is falling, with children as young as 14-years-old charged with murder, according to the Met's Operation Trident, which tackles shootings in London's black community.
Trident recently launched an advertising campaign, including music, videos and posters, targeting 11 to 16 year-olds in a bid to turn them away from the lure of guns.
Det Supt Kevin Davis, head of Trident, said: "Trident has identified a trend where more people in their teens are resorting to carrying or using guns."
Lee Jasper, London mayor Ken Livingstone's equality adviser, said the millions of pounds spent on regenerating Peckham were having an effect.
"It's a process, it's not an event and you know we shouldn't underestimate the scale of the problem.
"We've got large scale educational failure in some areas of London for young black children.
"We've got far too few positive role models in terms of fathers absent without leave and black teachers standing in front of the classroom teaching.
"And all of this provides a back drop of against high unemployment that makes this an enormously difficult task."
